Letting it be Ours
Thoughts on accepting that not everyone will understand or support our marriage, and learning to release the need for approval that does not belong to us.

I am learning that not everyone will understand our marriage, and that understanding is not something I am required to earn. Some people will have questions. Some will have opinions. Some will hold distance instead of support.
That used to bother me more than it does now.
There is a clarity that comes when you stop asking for permission to live your own life. What we have is real and considered, built with intention and care. It does not need outside approval to exist.
I am finding peace in letting our marriage belong to us. Not explained. Not defended. Just lived. There is freedom in that, and a surprising amount of calm.
