Today I did something a little different. I went to a local sound bath experience, and it ended up being one of the most relaxing and interesting things I’ve done in a while.

The instructor guided the group through the session with singing and different instruments. Some of the sounds were soft and calming, while others filled the whole room in a way that made it easy to just close your eyes and listen. It was one of those experiences where time seems to slow down a little.

What I didn’t expect was getting to play instruments too. The instructor encouraged everyone to participate, and it made the whole experience feel more interactive and personal. There was something really fun about being part of the music instead of just listening to it.

While I was there, I kept thinking that Gabe would have liked it. It felt like the kind of experience that would have been even better shared. Even so, I’m really glad I went. Trying new things like this has become one of my favorite ways to break up the routine of everyday life.

Sometimes you stumble into experiences you didn’t plan for that end up being surprisingly meaningful. This felt like one of those days.
